Equine Equipment and Exmark Donate $10,000 Mower to New Vocations Open Barn & BBQ Event

In a show of continuing support for the equine industry and Thoroughbred aftercare, Equine Equipment and Exmark have teamed up to donate an Exmark Commercial 60” Radius S Zero Turn Mower to be auctioned off as part of the New Vocations Open Barn & BBQ silent auction.

The mower has an approximate retail value of $10,000 depending on location/your dealer. The silent auction will also be offered online beginning Friday (April 21) and the winning bidder can pick up the new mower at their local Exmark dealer anywhere in the United States or Canada.

“Exmark has been a longtime supporter of our industry, and with this donation they are providing a big boost to the great work that New Vocations does for former racehorses,” said Steve Andersen, founder of Equine Equipment. “We are proud to help facilitate this generous donation, and we are very thankful to have a partner like Exmark who gives back to the racing industry in so many ways.

“Equine Equipment is always available to help horsemen get discounts on a wide range of products and equipment, but if you are in the market for a new Exmark commercial mower we encourage you to support this fundraiser with your bids or simply make a donation to New Vocations.”

New Vocations’ Open Barn & BBQ will be held Friday (April 28) in Lexington and will include three demonstrations by retired Thoroughbred racehorse experts, as well as food, drinks, music and a silent auction. Attendees will get to meet adoptable Thoroughbreds and approved adopters can even sign up for limited in-person adopter consult sessions. All proceeds from the event, including the mower auction, will go toward New Vocations’ mission to rehab, retrain and rehome retired racehorses.

“We truly appreciate the support of Equine Equipment and Exmark,” said Dot Morgan, founder and executive director of New Vocations. “This event is a lot of fun, and it’s also a very important fundraiser that helps us continue to facilitate adoptions for these wonderful animals.”
