Illinois Horsemen, Arlington Board Reach Contract Agreement

Following an all-day mediation session Monday, the Illinois Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association and Arlington International Racecourse reached a contract agreement for the 2015 season.

The new contract will run through April 22, 2016, and details will be forthcoming.

The ITHA would like to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts put forth by its Executive Committee of President Mike Campbell, Vice-President Chris Block, Director Steve Holland, Director Marty Nixon and Executive Director Glen Berman. Each worked tirelessly to get this contract settled.

We also thank all the members of the ITHA Board of Directors for informing this agreement with their collective wisdom and input. And we offer a special thanks to THA Chairman Alan Foreman and ITHA CPA and Auditor Craig Gagorick for joining our efforts and helping us reach an equitable solution for Illinois horsemen.

We look forward to a successful meeting at Arlington starting Friday, May 1.
