PA HBPA Announces 2016-2019 Board of Directors

GRANTVILLE, Pa. (Nov. 16, 2015)—The Pennsylvania Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (PA HBPA), which represents all horses owners, trainers and their employees at Penn National and Presque Isle Downs, today announced its 2016-2019 board of directors. Sandee Martin, of Grantville, Dauphin County, was elected president. Martin is a former professional jockey who is now an amateur jockey with Team USA, trainer and six-year member of the PA HBPA board.

Martin will be joined on the board of directors by:
Ken Bowman, owner
Gary Craig, trainer
Clovis Crane, trainer
Tim Hooper, trainer
Tom Lingenfelter, trainer
Tom McClay, owner
Vicki Nightingale, owner
Ken Russell, owner
Flint Stites, trainer
Dr. Harry Weisleder, owner

The board of directors is elected to a three-year term by PA HBPA’s membership through a nominating process. The board is comprised of five owners and five trainers, as well as a president, who serves a term coincident with the board of directors. A vice president will be chosen by the board of the directors at its first meeting.

The association’s election is overseen by Boyer and Ritter, certified Public Accounts and Consultants in Camp Hill.
