Registration Open for 2016 Simulcast Conference

Online registration for the 24th annual International Simulcast Conference to be held at Harrah’s New Orleans Hotel, September 26-28, is now open. You can access more information and the registration form on the TRA website: www.tra-online.com/conference.

The annual event is co-sponsored by the Thoroughbred Racing Associations (TRA) and Harness Tracks of America (HTA).

Expanded customer wagering options will be on the forefront of topics and speakers this year, featuring discussions on timely issues such as exchange wagering, lower takeouts, international co-mingling and recent developments in smartphone apps.

Betfair US recently introduced exchange wagering for New Jersey residents and several major North American tracks, including Monmouth Park, The Meadowlands, Woodbine, Keeneland, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, Hawthorne Race Course, Sam Houston Race Park, Tampa Bay Downs, and Turfway Park have reached agreements for their signals to be on the platform.

Canterbury Park is exploring the impact of significantly reduced takeout in the wagering market, while Yonkers Raceway recently signed an agreement with French PMU for international co-mingling of their pools.
