The forum will discuss the importance of building relationships with legislative and regulatory agencies how this process can educate such bodies thereby assisting them in making well-reasoned laws, rules and regulations.

Current Equine Science
This Forum will provide the audience with an overview of several different current equine science issues. Dr. Sue Stover will explore heart and lung issues related to training race horses. She will also briefly discuss the results of her research related to necropsies of racehorses. Dr. Jeff Blea will provide the audience with an introduction to shockwave therapy (ST), including: what ST is, the pluses and minuses of using ST to treat injuries, what types of injuries is ST used for and the use of ST in the future.
